Hathikuli Tea Estate

Hathikuli was originally Hatikhuli and is derived from the two Assamese words "hati" meaning elephant and "Khuli" meaning frequent. The full meaning of "Hathikuli" would therefore translate to a place frequented by elephants. The oldest section was planted in 1908.
